Transportation & Parking
Transportation and parking can be a challenge around campus, but we’ve got you covered!
In addition to reserved parking for Reunion attendees, we will have a variety of shuttles to help you across campus and to and from events. If you can get to Fredericksburg, we can help you get around once you’re here.
Parking On and Around Campus
Parking is available in the lot behind George Washington Hall, the lot at the corner of Thornton Street and College Avenue (across from duPont Hall), and the inbound and outbound lanes of Double Drive.
Guests also may park along College Avenue–but ONLY on the University side of the street. The residential side of College Avenue and side streets are parking by resident permit only.
The multi-level parking garage can be accessed from U.S. 1 North, just beyond College Avenue.
For events at Brompton and the Jepson Alumni Executive Center, parking is allowed along Hanover Street, in the University Tennis Center parking lot, and in the Battlefield Athletic Center parking lot.
Overnight guests (those staying in on-campus housing during Reunion) may park in the lot behind Randolph Hall or along Jefferson Square.
Handicapped parking is available in the George Washington Hall parking lot off Double Drive as you enter the main gates of the University, as well as in the lot behind Monroe Hall, which is accessible via Sunken Road. For large events at Brompton or the Jepson Alumni Executive Center, the entire parking lot at the alumni center will be designated for handicapped-accessible parking.
Trolleys and Shuttles on Campus
Various trolley and shuttle services will be available throughout the weekend to take guests around campus and to Reunion Weekend events that are off-campus.
Specifics of the trolley and shuttle schedules will be posted in the Reunion app, in the printed brochure, and on signage inside the Cedric Rucker University Center.
Golf-Cart Shuttles on Campus
Golf cart shuttles will make rounds all over campus throughout the weekend. For guests staying on-campus during Reunion, there also will be golf carts available to assist in bringing luggage to the residence halls.
Specifics of the golf cart stops will be posted in the Reunion app, in the printed brochure, and on signage inside the Cedric Rucker University Center.
