Panama Canal & Costa Rica
January 8 – 16, 2027
Travel through the Panama Canal, one of the greatest engineering marvels of our time, aboard the small ship Wind Star. Sail on to Costa Rica, with its virgin rainforests and pristine beaches.
Egypt & the Eternal Nile
February 26 – March 12, 2027
This journey spans Cairo to Nubia and Luxor, featuring the Grand Egyptian Museum, Pyramids of Giza, a Lake Nasser cruise to Abu Simbel, and a classic Nile cruise.
Southern Italy & Sicily
May 7 – 21, 2027
Explore the exquisite ruins and unique architecture of Italy’s southern climes, from striking Sicily and the prized Apulia region to the breathtaking Amalfi Coast.
Canadian Rockies Explorer
June 30 – July 10, 2027
From iconic St. Mary Lake and cerulean Lake Louise to plunging Maligne Canyon and sky-scraping Sulphur Mountain, feast your eyes and spirit alike on this journey.

Explore the wonders of Croatia, Montenegro and Greece on a cruise aboard the World Traveller. Visit UNESCO gems like Dubrovnik’s city walls and Rector’s Palace, Corfu’s stunning Achilleion Palace, and Delphi’s Temple of Apollo.

Any trips listed below are not organized by the Office of Alumni Engagement and are not part of the On the Road program, but they are open to alumni or community members.
UMW Theatre Road Trips
Our ever-popular UMW Theatre Road Trips are back this season! Join us for exceptional performances in Washington, D.C. We make it easy for you! Park your car at duPont Hall and board our charter bus, where your host will discuss the production you are about to experience as you travel to the theatre. The bus will drop you at the front door and will return to pick you up. On the way home, your host will lead you and your fellow theatre-goers in a post-performance discussion about the show. Come along for the ride—going to the theatre in Washington could not be easier! Learn more about our theatre road trips here, or click each production below to register.
