Want to join other UMW fans to watch the Eagles Men’s Basketball team in their first-ever NCAA championship game? Here is everything you need to know!

Pregame Event

For alumni, students, and player families who are traveling to Indianapolis, we have a Pregame Event!

Join us at Pivot Bar & Balcony, in the Hyatt House Indianapolis/Downtown, adjacent to the game arena. We will enjoy great food, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks in an indoor-outdoor space with great views. All Mary Washington community members are welcome to attend.

Watch Parties

We have 10 watch parties organized across the country, so you can enjoy the game even if you can’t make it to Indy.

The big event is in Fredericksburg, on campus at the Anderson Center. Beginning at 3:30 p.m. on game day, help us fill the arena with students, alumni, families, faculty, and staff for a huge party cheering on our Eagles as we watch the game on giant screens.

Before the game, there will be an optional buffet meal of cookout fare (burgers, hot dogs, etc.). Normal game concessions also will be available for purchase, along with beer and wine. We will have fun swag and a limited number of limited-edition t-shirts as giveaways for fans!

There is no cost to attend the watch party, but registration is requested so we’ll know to expect you. Pregame meal cost is $8 for alumni (discount compliments of the Alumni Association), $8 for faculty and staff (regular employee meal price), and $16 for guests. Cost for students is a meal swipe.

In other areas across the country, we have watch parties both in public venues and in the homes of alumni. Find the one closest to you and gather with other fans!
